The Divas With Disabilities Projectt

A creative extension of Donna Walton, Shaping the Perception of What "disability" looks like by promoting  women of color through various media platforms
Donna has endeavored, with the creation of her 501c3, The Divas With Disabilities Project,™ (DWD) to make an unprecedented impact in disability and women of color communities as a hub for thoughtful discussion on issues, self-love, and showing up, unapologetically in all forms of media. DWD has also grown into an active group of women who are coming together (using social media platforms) to not only discuss topics and find resources but to drill down on issues that require attention.

The Divas With Disabilities Project will also soon realize another one of Donna’s visionary goals, the creation of an annual empowerment conference bringing women from all over the US and internationally to attend and to share stories as well as receive motivation for reaching their next level and living life to the fullest.

Donna is also producing a documentary film, tentatively titled: “Divas with Disabilities.” In it, she will explore the lived experiences of  American Black women who live with physical disabilities.

Empowering Black Women and Women of Color with Disabilities

When you think of disability, you sometimes don't think of Diva.
Dr. Donna Walton wants to change that.
